LA PETITE LUNETTE ROUGE
Designed and Handcrafted in France by a French Team
LPLR Eyewear (an acronym for “La Petite Lunette Rouge”) was born from the meeting of Alison Hemmes, a designer, and Hilarhi Arcade, the brand’s founder. The name “La Petite Lunette Rouge” comes from the brand’s logo, created by Alison before the first glasses were designed.
Behind anagrams that mask their true identities to focus on their creations, Alison and Hilarhi enjoy playing with the provocative spirit of contemporary art. Boldness is the driving force behind their quest for uniqueness and modernism.
“In eyewear creation, everything has already been done, and we must revisit the past to create the future,” states Hilarhi. Thus, the foundation of their work revolves around the 1980s.
The collection loves to be unique, catering to slightly daring wearers! The combination of acetate and surgical steel materials offers a wide variety of shapes for all faces. The mix of these two materials’ textures gives depth to the colors, which are warm, vibrant, or more subtle, but always elegant.
The frames are unisex, and our little ones also have their line named “Petite Petite.”
The exclusive hinge with its two rotation axes in the shape of our logo, an eyebrow line symbolizing the clip-on worked in multiple ways, and a shell inspired by glacier glasses are the three signatures of La Petite Lunette Rouge.
